TRACK FRAGMENTS:

.) "Anyone" - This track is the first single that was taken off the release.  In between the rhythm guitar rests of this intro are spoken vocal lines.  After the intro section instead of opening the song with a verse the band opted to use the chorus.  The lead vocal lines are very reminiscent of John Corabi (The Scream, Motley Crue, Union).  The verses are very short in fact they are just two or three lines.  After the second chorus there is a small pause within the musical arrangement were the rhythm guitar riffs where done with an effects pedal.  The sound effect used for the rhythm guitar is the same one the band used for the vocal lines of the verses.  The arrangement kicks back in with a very laid back blues/metal guitar solo.  The lead guitar solo runs underneath the last chorus.
.) "Freedom" -A small drum fill kicks in the intro section of this song.  During production Anthony turned up the bass tracks giving the intro a very heavy feel.  The way the band arranged the verse of this song was very similar to the way John Corabi and Bruce Kulick arrange a lot of the Union's songs.  The rhythm change between the pre-verse and verse was so smooth that it almost will go unnoticed.  The chorus was very simple and laid back.  After the third chorus the guys drastically change the dynamics of the song by incorporating a acoustic rhythm guitar arrangement solo section.  This acoustic guitar rhythm really catches you off guard.  You're like where the hell did that come from!!!  Over the top of the breakdown section there is a small lead vocal line that sounds like it was done through a mega-phone.  After the breakdown there is a small lead guitar solo that runs underneath the last chorus of the outro section
.) "Unforgivin" - Laced in between the rests of this intro section are little lead guitar licks.  The rhythm guitar arrangement that connects the intro to the verse had a stinking groove to it.  The verse consisted of mainly drums and bass with the rhythm guitar laying back.  For the pre-chorus the band changes the rhythm structure of the song just a little by adding a rhythm guitar arrangement.  Because of the huge hook of the chorus this track could have been the first single on the release.  The guitar solo was a mixture of blues and hard rock influence.  There is a small breakdown section after the lead guitar solo.  In between the vocal lines and the musical arrangement of the outro section there is a minor lead guitar solo.  at the tail end of the outro section there is a very cool subtle rhythm guitar piece.  In a lot of ways this subtle rhythm guitar made the song.
.) "Save Me" -This track kicks off with half of a hi-hat count off.  The opening intro section consisted of two different rhythm guitar arrangements.  The main instrumentation of the verse is the bass.  The hook of the chorus had a very laid back feel.  At times the vocal lines have a John Corabi feel to them.  There is a small breakdown section that consisted of only a drum rhythm.  This track had absolutely no guitar solo at all.  i found this to be a little surprising due to the fact it is the perfect musical arrangement for a guitar solo.
.) "Superfly" -The intro to this track has a modern metal feel to it.  If you wanted to compare the song to anything in particular it would be very easy to compare it to the stuff Motley wrote when John Corabi was with the band.  The lead vocal lines of the opening chorus were done with a vocal effect.  The vocal effect of the choruses along with the tom-tom drum pattern gives the chorus arrangement a very intense feel.  The guitar solo was done with an effects pedal giving the solo a very intense feel.
.) "Empty" -The pre-intro of this track consisted of a guitar effect.  The main intro section was done with to rhythm guitar arrangements giving the intro section a very full sound.  To connect the intro section with the verse the band used the same guitar effect as the pre-intro.  The clean electric rhythm of the verse gives the song a semi-ballad feel.  Over the top of the musical arrangement of the verse are little lead guitar licks.  The way the guys arranged the lyrical content of the verse along with the lead guitar licks gives the verses a very drugged sound.  The chorus was arranged very similar to a lot of the stuff Linkin Park has wrote on their first release.  The lead guitar solo of this track was perfect for this type of arrangement.
.) "Never" -The intro to this track opens with a female voice before going into a speeded up version of porn style music.  The lead vocal lines open with a vocal effect that is very reminiscent of Trent Reznor and nine Inch nails.  The band kicks the song in for the verse with a fairly standard sounding arrangement.  One of the things that stands out during the verse is the simple yet cool bass line.  The musical and vocal chorus reminded me a lot of Nine Inch Nails.  This song was the shortest on the release and too be completely honest with myself and the guys in the band, though it does not take anything away from the album it does not really add to either.
.) "Straight To Hell" - This intro section consisted of two different rhythm guitar arrangements.  The way the band arranged the lyrical content of the verse gives the song a modern rock feel.  The chorus of the song was about as simple as you can get.  After the first chorus the band incorporated a third guitar rhythm this gives the musical arrangement a very heavy full sound.   I really liked the musical build up of the pre-choruses.  There is a very intense lead guitar solo after the second chorus.  The song was very short, almost too short.
.) "The Unknown" - Instrumental
.) "Ton Of Lead" -The intro of this track had a seventies rock feel to it.  The vocal lines of the verses reminded me a lot of Zakk Wylde's Pride & Glory.  Underneath the pre-chorus there is a very small acoustic guitar arrangement.  Vocally this track is the bands master piece.  Musically and lyrically this is one of those rare gems that you hate to hear end.
.) "Brand New Day" -The rhythm guitar arrangement of this intro has a seventies Black Sabbath feel.  For the pre-verse the drum pattern was done with the tom-toms.  The vocal lines of the verses were very simple letting the music carry the song.  The musical and lyrical arrangement of the song was very influenced from older Cult songs.  The guitar effects used for the breakdown section gave the breakdown an abstract feel.  This song was screaming for a guitar solo.
.) "Thanks" -The intro to this track consisted of a tom-tom rhythm along with two different guitar arrangements.  The vocal lines of the verse and pre-chorus sound like they were done with a vocal effect.  There is a small lead guitar solo after the first chorus.  There is a second lead guitar solo after the second chorus.  All in all this is a straight forward smack you in the mouth rock and roll song.
.) "I Won't Be The One" -This ballad consisted of no intro section. The song was done with only vocals and guitar.  This subtle sounding song was the best track to end the CD with.
