"Blood On The Radio" consist of fourteen live tracks taken
from the bands first two releases, plus one unreleased track. Considering
Broken Teeth includes the lead vocalist (Jason McMaster) and guitarist (Paul
Lidel) from Dangerous Toys you know this will be one hell of a live sounding
release. Jason McMaster's vocal lines are dripping with sexuality.
At times, like with most live albums, Jason McMaster does not sound like he does
studio wise, and you can contribute that fact to a million reasons. Please
do not get me wrong I am not saying that his vocal lines are no good. I'm
just saying there is a little bit of a difference within the sound of them
compared to some of the studio stuff I've heard him do. One of the many
things I like with this live release is the fact that this could be the first
time you've heard Broken Teeth and you can tell the band where dead on.
Especially with tracks like: "Pull the Plug", "Stick It In", and "Hangin' By The
Skin". Actually the set list was designed to perfection. I'm a
little shocked that the band either did not do an encore that night or did not
put the encore section on the release that at least didn't include the old
Dangerous Toys classic "Teas'n, Pleas'n". There are a couple songs one in
particular called "High On Danger" where you can really hear the AC/DC influence
bleeding through the Broken Teeth sound.
if you are a fan of AC/DC, Dangerous Toys, Broken Teeth, or
just want to check out an excellent live release, then "Blood On The Radio" is
really worth checking out.
