TRACK BY TRACK:
.)"Shoot To Kill"-The first thing I noticed is the power of the lead singers voice. At times this track is like a cross between Judas Priest and old Megadeath, what a great mix.
.)"Modern Darkness"-This track has a great double bass drum pattern and bass line. Through the choruses Sean Pecks Rob Halford side really comes out.
.)"I Live"- This song is a lot like early thrash songs of the eighties, with powerful vocals and in your face guitars.
.)"Buried In The Box"- The song opens with a great guitar intro. This one is a good example of words and music and how they are suppose to be interlined. After the 3rd chorus there is this little change in lead pattern that reminds me of Cheech & Chong's "Basketball Jones".
.)'Devil Inside"- The first ballad, this could have been placed on Queenrhyce's first E.P.
.)"Dancing Around The Fire"- Through the into is a small guitar solo intro which added a nice effect to the song. A Judas Priest type twin guitar solo that is a little to short but effective nonetheless.
.)"Release Me"- This is done in almost a Black Sabbath kind of sound.
.)"Unveiled"- Opens with a bass line under someone talking about the planet Mars. It also has a melodic sounding guitar solo.
.)"The Iron Priest"-Into to "Nomad".
.)"Nomad"- This is a up-tempo solid metal song with its heavy guitar riffs and drum patterns.
.)"Influences"- Musically this one sounds a lot like some of the stuff Metallica was working on during the recording of "Justice.."
.)"Emergency Broadcast System"-Emergency broadcast recording
.)"Sudden Death"-This older Queensrhyce sounding song has a great guitar intro.
.)Asta La Vista"-This one is probably the most modern sounding, it also is very Iron Maiden based.

When you first take the CD out of its jewel case it reads, "Metal Lives", and Cage proves it. This is a phenomenal fr
